The VA centre is commited to adding value to peoples lives. We believe in helping those in need throughout our community and giving them the support to lead furfilling lives.
We are a not for profit organisation, and work within the community to provide a much needed support system to those facing homelessness.
We offer supported housing, workshops and guidance.
Our staff are trained support workers and housing advisors. We understand the troubles faced by many of our clients and can help them work through their struggles.
We work closely with other organisations to signpost our clients to the support services they need depending on their situations, we offer life skill coaching to help with the everyday living essentials such as self care, house managment, cleaning, cooking, budgeting and making and keeping appointments.
We help those in need, including:
- The homeless
- Substance misuse
- Those fleeing violence
- Those with mental health issues
- Those with learning disabilities
We work closely with other homeless charities and local authority. If you feel you are at immediate risk of homelessness we advise speaking to the local authority as a first point of call. We can offer advice and guidance to you if you are at risk, but our referrals are made from recognised organisations only.
We offer a unique package to our service users, each client has specific needs and so our support is tailored around them. We have single rooms that provide a safe space to call home, we can help with budgeting, form filling, signposting, appointment timekeeping, shopping, cleaning, cooking and work related training.
